Many women find joy in changing their hair color, from black, brunette, blonde, grey, red, or even a mix of everything. For them, their hair’s hue can enhance their overall appearance. Because of this trend in the beauty industry, more brands have resorted to producing various products, including hair growth shampoos and conditioners that can “dye” your hair. How about your eyebrows? Is it safe to color the hair strands on your brows? Learn more safety tips on eyebrow hair dyeing and ways to beautify your eyebrows safely.

Eyebrow Hair Dyeing: Is It Possible and Safe?

Your eyebrows are located above your eyes, which makes hair dye application even more dangerous. In general, hair dyes are chemicals, regardless of how big the words “organic” or “natural” are written on the packaging. Hence, you should never use any regular hair dye to color your eyebrows without proper handling. You may damage your eyes and lose your vision as a result.

However, if you still desire to revamp your looks, there are still some ways to color your brows without harming your eyesight. Check out the following tips on eyebrow coloring.

Simple Beauty Tips on How to Color Your Eyebrow Hair Safely

Before you start coloring your eyebrow hair, ensure that the dye or makeup color is similar to your hair color. If you can’t find the perfect match, have at least two shades lighter than your hair’s.

After choosing the right hue and shade, check out the following beauty tips that every woman should know for eyebrow coloring.

1. Tint your brows with a classic colored eyebrow pencil.

Long before micro-blading, eyebrow pencils have been the classic makeup for your eyebrows. These eyebrow makeup tools are used to draw fine hair strands that’ll add extra volume to your eyebrows. Before you start, choose the color of the eyebrow pencil that you want, and pinpoint where your eyebrows should begin. Remove the excessive hair with tweezers or scissors. Then, use your sharpened colored eyebrow pencil to fill in the gaps and draw lines, serving as eyebrow hair strands. Brush it properly to blend the color with the hair.

2. Use double-headed colored eyebrow filler.

If you want a temporary color for your lovely eyebrows, you may use colored eyebrow filler instead of the usual black or brown color. Double-headed eyebrow filler is recommended for those who prefer using both pencil and gel. An eyebrow gel is for tinting the brows while keeping the unkempt hair in place, while an eyebrow pencil is used for drawing feather-like strands to fill in the gap.

3. Dye your eyebrows with a color gel for beards and mustaches.

Facial hair can be dyed, too! Hence, if you’re looking for something safer for your face, you can opt to color your eyebrows with a color gel for beards and mustaches. These types of hair dyes are mostly semi-permanent, with neutral colors being more common. Color gels for beards and mustaches also target fine hair strands, suiting those growing on your eyebrows.

4. Don’t use a permanent hair dye made for your scalp; use an eyebrow hair dye.

Again, hair dyes for the hair on your scalp should never be used on your eyebrows. The chemicals in those dyes may be safe for your scalp but not for your eyes. Instead of risking your vision for some cheap hair dyes, it would be best to use an eyebrow hair dye, which usually comes with an applicator and a brush.

It would be best to start dyeing your eyebrows mid-section before the roots so that the strands can absorb the dye faster. It will also help the color to stay longer. Be careful so that you won’t get to miss any gap, ensuring that the color will look evenly applied. Don’t forget to cover your eye while dyeing one eyebrow for safety purposes. After 10 minutes, gently wash off the dye using a wet cotton swab or pad. Repeat this step until you remove all the eyebrow dye on your eyebrows.

Make Your Eyebrows Colorful with an Eyebrow Hair Dye.

Eyebrows frame your face and emphasize your facial features. Therefore, if you want to upgrade your current look, you can always dye your eyebrows. However, always be cautious in choosing the right kind and shade of dye for your eyebrows. It would also be best to use an eyebrow hair serum for a hair growth boost. In the end, what matters most aren’t your eyebrows but your two bright shiny eyes and the vision that they hold.
