How Instinct Education Are Seeking To Change The $20 Billion Coaching Industry

In a society where self-improvement is becoming increasingly popular, it’s not uncommon to find ourselves feeling overwhelmed with our problems, without a clue where to begin.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that online education and coaching is projected to grow to over $20 billion by 2023. In spite of this, the online coaching industry is not without its challenges.

With the industry average completion rate of online programs estimated to be around just 5%, more often than not the myriad of benefits promised by coaches often end up being nothing more than exaggerated marketing claims, failing to live up to the hype.

As a result, we have significantly lower trust and belief in the coaching industry, leaving quality coaches and leaders having a hard time trying to figure out what to do.

Fortunately, there are those actively working to change that perception. One of which being Connor Marriott, CEO of Instinct Education, Australia’s leading online training and development platform for coaches.

There's a good reason why most programs don't work. This is due to the fact that most programs focus entirely on providing information, while ignoring the users ability to implement that information. There’s very little attention given to ensuring people follow-through with the actions required in order to see results”, says Connor Marriott.

In order to build a great online education platform, yes, we need the right information so that when people use it, they get the result. But much more importantly, we need to look at what we are actually doing to change people’s behaviours so that they do take the actions, so that they can achieve the result.” he explains.

Marriott's company, Instinct Education, is an all-in-one online coaching business, covering every step from starting an online business to scaling it and everything in between.

Instinct works with Australia’s top coaches and, over the span of 12 weeks, helps to grow their client base, exponentially increasing their income. The team at Instinct customise each client experience according to their unique business goals. Once consistency has been attained, Instinct then offers ongoing mentorship and action plans for their clients to implement in order to continue growing and scaling their business.

One can expect a complete and total shift once undergoing the Evolution program. There are so many lightbulb moments throughout the content of which can also be applied to life in general. I was thoroughly impressed with the value for money.”, said a recent client of the program.

What seems to make this company stand out from their competitors, is their unwavering dedication towards their clients in order to ensure that they turn over solid, tangible results. As a company, their mission is only complete once their client has reached their goal.

During a time where the coaching industry is overly saturated and growing at a rapid rate, Instinct’s approach to business could not come at a better time. We spoke to Hayden Harrisson, Instinct’s Head of Marketing, to find out more.

With most programs, 95% of what you’re paying for is the content, with 5% being everything else (support, accountability etc.) We’ve focused on flipping that statistic. Our content, while arguably the best in the industry, makes up less than 5% of the overall value of our program when compared to the ‘everything else’ that is included.”

While most online coaching companies promise the dream of attaining leads and getting new clients, Instinct provides the systems, tools and tracking to make sure of it. When we probed deeper into the evolution of Instinct, we found that the entire business started off as a done for you marketing service and evolved into an educational program from there. Marriott took note of where people tended to struggle along their journey and would zero in on the roadblocks, identifying the problems and creating systems to eliminate them.

Overall, it looks like this company is quickly changing the game when it comes to online education. Instinct’s customer base has spread overseas and continues to grow at a rapid rate.

In their most recent updates, Instinct is currently on the hunt for a few of Australia’s top coaches to join their ever expanding team, in order to help train clients on becoming more skilled at their craft. Through improving the skills of coaches themselves, and pairing them with the business systems required to deliver amazing client results, Instinct aims to bridge the gap between being a coach, and having a great coaching business.

Their goal is to change the perception of the coaching industry by setting a new standard for coaches, thereby regulating what is currently a highly saturated and dysregulated industry. A big goal, but seemingly attainable at the rate they are currently travelling.
