Never underestimate the power of a life hack. It can add tremendous value to your life. Take for example the people who discovered that they could gamble from the comfort of their homes with the help of Trueblue Casino. In this article, you'll learn how to improve your home and make life easier by using simple everyday tools such as your phone. Here are some amazing life hacks you may not know, but will change your life.

Home Improvement Life Hacks

1. Drill Without Making a Mess

How could you drill a hole without having dust particles on the floor and maybe in your eyes? All you need to do is drill a hole through the plastic cup and attach it to the mouth of the drill. That way, all the resulting dust particles end up in the cup.

2. Paint Without So Many Stains

You can avoid drippings from paintbrushes on the can and the floor when they are dipped in paint, with this life hack. You need a strong, thick rubber band wide enough to go round the paint can. You can easily wipe your paintbrush on the rubber before painting. The good thing about this hack is that the excess paint wiped on the rubber band returns to the can.

3. Plastic Bottles Can Save Plants

With the world needing us to create new ways to reuse plastics to make it better, this life hack just feels right. You can make a sprinkler to use and water the flowers. All you need is a plastic bottle and a needle. Pierce holes around the bottle, then fix and seal your hose through the mouth of the bottle. When water flows into the bottle, it will disperse through the holes with a high pressure mimicking the action of your average sprinkler.

4. Toothpaste Magic

Those little scratches on your furniture could be easily wiped off with a bit of toothpaste and a damp towel. Now you know.

5. Ice Cubes Remove Wax

You don't have to scrape off the top of your furniture to remove that wax. Fill in a bag with ice cubes and let it sit on the wax for a few minutes then watch how the wax easily comes off after the ice has cooled it off.

6. The Hairdryer Trick

It's no doubt that kids love using the wall as a canvas for their "artistry" skills. Don't be too furious. If they drew on your wall with crayon, you don't have to repaint the wall to get it off. A hairdryer would be the best option. Simply introduce heat with the hairdryer on the part of the wall with the crayon marks. Next, wipe off with a soft cloth. That should do it.

7. Cooking Oil Not Only for Cooking

Peeling off a label from a jar could leave some sticky residues which can be most times frustrating. Don't throw that jar off. Rub some cooking oil on it instead. After the oil sits on the jar for a while, wipe it with a clean cloth. It should be squeaky clean.

8. Don't Call the Plumber

Did your sink start holding water again or your bathtub won't drain after you shave? Try this: mix some coffee ground with dish soap and pour it into the drain. Next, pour a lot of hot water in the sink and watch how it unclogs.

9. Keep Your Showerhead Clean

To do this, fill a plastic bag with vinegar and fasten it to the head of the shower. Leave it on for some hours before pulling out. Your showerhead will be good as new.

Phone-Related Life Hacks

1. Get Your Cinema in the House

If you want some extra comfort, you can have a personal cinema at home. You'll need the following items:

  • Carton;
  • Pocket knife;
  • Marker;
  • Phone.

Start by making a hollow in the carton by removing the top and bottom covers, then create a compartment in the interior of the box where your phone can be inserted. Use the marker to draw an outline of your phone before cutting. Place the box over your head and enjoy the comfort of watching movies with ease. This is better with the lights off.

2. H²O Can Shine

When the light goes out, you can easily use your phone's flashlight to get around. However, if you're looking to illuminate more ground, place your phone under a water bottle. This causes the light to spread out more due to diffraction. It's more fun and beautiful if your phone's flashlight is colored.

3. Get Rid of Tangled Cords

Tired of having your cords all tangled in the box? It's easy. Get some tissue paper rolls and stuff one cord in each roll. Next, arrange in a box. That way you don't have to deal with the stress of untangling the cords whenever you wish to make use of them.

4. Charge Your Phone Safely

If you're scared of people stepping on your phone when you plug it along the hallway or you have a short charging cord that causes your phone to hang mid air while charging, here's a hack for you. Get an old body lotion container and cut one side of the container, leaving an open space like a pocket. Then on the other side, you cut a square for the socket hole and some little on top so the container can hang to a nail when the charger is plugged. Anytime you wish to charge your phone, simply insert it into the pocket.

Simple Improvisation Life Hacks

1. Pedal Without Shoes

Who would have known that one day we could ride our bikes without shoes? That's right. With this life hack, you can pedal without having to feel the pains of the metal pedal. Simply cut a piece of carpet or foam that is comfy and glue it to the top of the pedal. You'd ride in style and comfort.

2. Enjoy Toast Without Toaster

You can enjoy delicious toast at home even when the toaster is faulty. All you need is a metal colander and an electric stove. Place the colander over the electric stove and switch on the stove, then place the bread on top of the colander. Wait a few minutes and Voila! Your toast is ready.

3. Say it Out Loud

After taking one last cursory look over everything in the house, you step out. However, upon moving down several blocks, you begin to have doubtful thoughts about what you may have forgotten. For instance, leaving the tap on or forgetting to switch off the lights. A simple way to avoid such scenarios is to say it out loud. "I'm switching off the lights, I've dropped the keys on the table or I'm turning off the gas head". This should do.

4. How Many Ways Can We Store Pasta?

Most pasta products are sealed in nylon packs. However, these take up space. They can easily be broken into smaller pieces if you have limited storage space. You can store pasta in a better way. All you need is your old Pringles can. It makes it safer and prevents it from breakage.

5. Use Your Screwdriver as a Funnel

This is for the people who spend time in the garage. Or maybe you need to pour some engine oil into a vehicle or machine and you can't find a funnel. If you have a screwdriver, it works just fine. You just put the tip of the screwdriver into where you want to fill. Gently pour the oil along the metal length of the screwdriver.

6. Find the End of Tape Rolls

It's always kind of difficult to find the end of a paper tape roll and even when you find it, it will be quite difficult to get it up. You can easily hack this situation with a paper clip. Attach a paper clip to the end of the tape roll after you're done. That way, you don't have to spend hours looking for the end of the tape roll and you can easily get it up without much stress.

7. Stay Frozen

When going for a picnic, remember to take some salt along with you. Sprinkling salt on the ice in the cooler makes it stay frozen for a longer time.

There you have it - 20 life hacks that will surely add value to your life. To help you remember them, take note of the hacks that interest you the most and try them out when the opportunity arises.
