As a small business owner, the two things you often need the most of are money and time. Luckily, there is no shortage of business solutions to help you save time. It starts with knowing what you want to achieve. Then you can take the time to research the right option for your company.

Doing Online Research

Even if your company is well-established, you will likely still want to stay on top of the trends in your industry. That’ll help you be more competitive. For example, if you sell beauty products, you might want to learn about skin-care trends. Or if your company specializes in natural products, you might want to research cancer and cannabis. For instance, you might want to learn if there are risks associated with marijuana and how people find the best herb for their needs.

Social Media Tools

Today, it is easier than ever to automate busy work jobs so you can focus on the ones that take longer. Email marketing systems can help you keep your subscriber list informed on company news and important promotions. Plus, email marketing systems can put a form of the email on social networks, eliminating one more task. Social media is vital for connecting with current and future customers. However, getting on social media can drain your time. It is all too easy to go to an app or site for a couple of minutes, only to find that it took closer to an hour.

Instead, consider scheduling social media posts. There are tools that allow you to schedule posts to be published when you want them to be. You don’t have to visit the actual site for it to be published. Plus, setting up a dozen posts at once is often easier than logging on once or twice a day just to post one thing. You might choose to create a week or months’ worth of posts at once and then use the scheduling tools to set the promotions to go live when you want to.

Getting Clients

To retain or gain clients, consider using a customer relationship management (CRM) platform to help. CRMs help you keep track of current, past, and potential clients. They also offer tools for nurturing these relationships. Using this platform consistently allows you to make better business decisions, based on real data so you don’t have to guess. It’s easier to keep track of how many new clients you get in a given period, and you can view them based on the kind of product they bought.

Working Together Online

If you need to collaborate with people, look for file sharing systems. These tools allow people to work on the same version of documents. Plus, it eliminates the need to email versions of the same document to each other. You might work in real-time with a file-sharing system or go at your own pace to see what changes have been made to projects. You can use it with your team or with clients to keep track of their needs.
