On the back of Labor’s campaign launch on Sunday, the party waged a scare campaign against the Coalition’s plans for Medicare. Michelle Grattan tells University of Canberra acting vice-chancellor Professor Frances Shannon the scare campaign has reverberated through the whole week.

“What Labor strategists say is that many voters take out of this the message that Medicare really is in danger,” Grattan says.
