Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – November 11, 2015 – DryEyeNews.com, the leading online community resource for patients and professionals with an interest in Dry Eye Syndrome, will be on-site throughout the upcoming American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2015 Annual Meeting and Exhibition, Saturday, November 14th through Tuesday, November 17th at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, at Booth #5258.

In just a few years, DryEyeNews.com has become a leading resource with information about Dry Eye Syndrome, providing education tools, articles and studies, as well as news about treatment options and the “Ask the Doctor” feature.

Roland Toyos, M.D. is one of the featured experts on DryEyeNews.com, and will be at the DryEyeNews.com Booth #5258 at AAO 2015 all day Saturday, November 14th, answering questions and discussing the latest treatments for Dry Eye Syndrome.

Toyos is the Medical Director and Founder of the Toyos Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.  In September, Toyos presented his findings on “Light Treatments for Dry Eye Disease” to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) International Year of Light 2015.

He has lectured both nationally and internationally on surgical techniques, medications and new technologies.  He received a research grant from the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery based on his discovery of a way to use Intense Pulsed Light to treat the most common form of Dry Eye Syndrome.

Toyos received his BA from Berkeley, and his MA from Stanford, and earned his M.D. from the University of Illinois.  He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University and Chicago Children’s Hospital.

He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology, and specializes in Cataract surgery and Refractive procedures.  He is president of the Sports Ophthalmic Society of the Americas, and a member of the American Medical Association, Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology.
