WAHL SUPPORTS ZERO’S GROW GIVE CAMPAIGN TO HELP END PROSTATE CANCER

STERLING, ILL. (November 10, 2015) – It’s November, and a facial hair-growing phenomenon is sweeping the nation, all in an effort to raise awareness and funds to promote men’s health initiatives. As the Official Sponsor of Facial Hair and the world’s largest manufacturer of facial hair trimmers, Wahl has joined forces with ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer to support their seasonal Grow & Give campaign.

For the second year, Wahl is sponsoring ZERO’s Grow & Give by raising money, and donating facial hair trimmers to the top fundraisers in the program. To encourage participation in Grow & Give, Wahl is challenging guys to start a team and show off their fuzz on Twitter or Instagram using #OfficialSponsorOfFacialHair. For every photo shared during the campaign, Wahl will donate $1 to ZERO. Participants also have the opportunity to receive free grooming tools and Official Sponsor of Facial Hair gear.

“One in seven American men will be affected prostate cancer; with numbers like those we are happy to help raise awareness,” said Steven Yde, division vice president of consumer marketing for Wahl. “By growing facial hair men can not only support Grow & Give, but their beards and mustaches can spark important conversations, making them walking, talking billboards for the cause.”

Get Growing, Get Inspired

It’s not too late for guys to get growing. Participants in Grow & Give can start cultivating their facial hair any day in November and continue all month long. Wahl’s website, wahlgrooming.com, offers more than 40 facial hair styles to inspire guys and provides how-to tips to achieve the look and maintain it after the month is over. To get involved, visit zerocancer.org.

As the Official Sponsor of Facial Hair, Wahl is dedicated to promoting and celebrating outstanding facial hair. In June Wahl revealed its annual list of the Most Facial Hair Friendly Cities in America and took a massive 30-foot mobile barbershop and a team of master barbers on the road visiting the top 10 hairy havens. The journey was a pursuit of the hirsute, as the best facial hair was chosen from each city. Staches, soul patches, goatees, and chops came out in full force; however, this year the beard reigned supreme. See the top 50 Most Facial Hair Friendly Cities in America in 2015.
