OFS Brands finds “Common Ground” between customers, colleagues and community in new sustainability report

OFS Brands, a leading manufacturer of furniture for workplace, healthcare and education environments, recently issued a reformatted, expanded version of the company’s annual sustainability report. Available online at http://ofsbrands.com/content/common-ground the report is a detailed compilation of key topics and measurement regarding the company’s sustainability strategies, challenges and impact areas in 2014.

“At OFS Brands, we believe that sustainability comes from satisfying our customers, challenging our employees and supporting our communities, said Hank Menke, CEO of OFS Brands. “In this expanded sustainability report, we’re taking an in-depth look at how we measure our progress in all of these areas. We published this report because we believe that it is important to be transparent, hold ourselves accountable, and report measurable outcomes to both mark our progress and guide our future.”

The new format follows the foundation of the company’s sustainability framework – “Common Ground” -- and is organized into three main areas:

  • Customers: quality & craftsmanship, conservation of resources, product stewardship transportation
  • Colleagues: health & wellness, education, safety
  • Community: charity & volunteerism, supply partners, economic development

 OFS Brands creates an annual sustainability report with consideration given to the core requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative [GRI] Sustainability Reporting Guidelines version G4.
