Petzl Names Brian Block Sport Division Manager for North America

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (October 20, 2015)— Petzl today named Brian Block sport division manager for North America.

In his new role, Block will grow existing accounts and develop innovative programs to position Petzl for long-term growth in sales and profitability. He will lead Petzl’s sales reps and manage Petzl’s sport division employees.

“I’ve long utilized Petzl products in the backcountry,” said Block. “I am excited to share my real-world experiences with everyone from in-house staff to end users. I’m very passionate about what I do in work and play and getting to combine the two as part of Petzl is an ideal situation in an industry I love. Petzl, like myself, strives to be better every day at what they do and how they do it and I’m excited to be a part of that equation." 

Block brings decades of climbing/mountaineering and industry experience to his new role at Petzl. Previously, he directed selling strategies and oversaw sales managers and reps as sales director for Gregory Mountain Products and High Sierra Outdoor. He also served as the principle rep for Osprey, Marmot, SOLE and Scarpa among other industry-leading brands for the northern Midwestern states as part of Ames Adventure Outfitters.
