One-of-a-kind, single barrel of Knob Creek bourbon is coming to Waldo and Brookside

The Well, Lew's Grill and Bar and Charlie Hooper's will unveil the exclusive bourbon on Oct. 28; Special bourbon dinner at The Well on Nov. 4

Kansas City, MO. (October 19, 2015) – A special, one-of-a-kind bourbon is coming to Waldo and Brookside, distilled specially for the Kansas City neighborhoods. The Well Bar, Grill & Rooftop, Lew’s Grill and Bar and Charlie Hooper’s will receive its own exclusive barrel of Knob Creek that will be available at all three locations starting on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The bourbon will officially be called Knob Creek Single Barrel #1767. Guests and the general public will also be able to order custom bottles of the Knob Creek #1767 with a personalized label.

Knob Creek #1767 Unveiling

The Well will unveil the Knob Creek #1767 at its regularly scheduled Whiskey Wednesday on Oct. 28, starting at 6 p.m. All whiskey in house, including the Knob Creek #1767 bourbon, will be 50 percent off from 6 p.m. until close, the regular Whiskey Wednesday special featured at The Well. Bottles of the Knob Creek #1767 will be available for purchase from 6 – 9 p.m. A bottle with a custom label will cost $45. Joe Terranova, a world whiskey specialist with Major Brands, will be on-site for the unveiling and available for bourbon education and to answer any questions from guests.

The Well has also created new craft cocktails with the Knob Creek #1767, including:

·     Doc’s Old Fashioned – Knob Creek #1767, brown sugar, KC smoked bitters

·     Knob Creek Manhattan – Knob Creek #1767, sweet Vermouth, bitters, cherry

Knob Creek Tasting Reception

A special Knob Creek #1767 tasting reception will take place at The Well on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 6 - 8 p.m. The tasting will feature multiple small plates paired with the aforementioned cocktails and feature Major Brands’ Joe Terranova. Guests are able to pre-order a custom bottle of the Knob Creek #1767 that will be available at the tasting reception on Nov. 4.

Tickets are available for purchase online at www.waldowell.tix.com. A ticket for the tasting reception is $49.99 and a ticket for the reception with a custom engraved bottle of the Knob Creek #1767 costs $99.99.

About The Well Bar, Grill & Rooftop

The Well Bar, Grill & Rooftop, known by locals as simply “The Well,” opened its doors in Kansas City’s historic Waldo neighborhood in August 2009 at 7539 Wornall Road. Combining an urban feel with the casual atmosphere of a neighborhood bar, The Well is a unique, multi-level restaurant with open-air windows and an expansive, all-season rooftop patio, one of the Kansas City’s largest outdoor dining options. The Well is open seven days a week, 365 days a year, offering guests a chef-driven menu featuring fresh seafood, made-to-order pastas and dry-aged ribeye steaks. Lunch and dinner are served daily until 10 p.m. and a condensed, late night menu starts at 10 p.m. until 11 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Happy Hour is offered from 3 – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday. Breakfast is served on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and The Well’s popular six-station brunch buffet is served every Sunday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and includes Kansas City’s largest Bloody Mary bar.
