Detroit, MI– Tucker, Young, Jackson, Tull, Inc. (TYJT), a Detroit-based environmental and civil engineering firm has announced that it has become a part of Alfred Benesch & Company (Benesch). Benesch provides multi-disciplined engineering and professional services nation-wide and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

Since 1984, TYJT has provided water/wastewater, transportation and environmental engineering services to municipalities, government agencies and the private sector. This merger will expand Benesch’s presence in Michigan, as well as add a new office in Baltimore, MD.

“We’re excited to be a part of something bigger – a larger company with the ability to provide our clients with additional resources, as well as a multitude of new services”, says George Karmo, President of TYJT. “This merger will allow us to strengthen our presence in the Detroit and Baltimore/DC areas and adds significant value to both TYJT and Benesch clients; we’re ready to move forward as one company”.

The combined firm has approximately 600 employees, located in offices throughout fifteen states.
