“Public Involvement at the Epicenter of Rocky Mountain Archaeology”

Sixth program in the Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speaker Series at the Dennison Lodge Thursday, July 23 at 7pm.

Richard Adams, PhD, Department of Anthropology, Colorado State University presents the unique culture of Dubois, a model town for community involvement in participatory archaeology with his hopes that more archaeology students will get involved in the process. He believes, “it takes a village to train an archaeologist.”

This program is the sixth in the Wyoming Community Bank Speaker Series at the museum. This series will feature educational opportunities on the area’s culture and history at all three county museums throughout the summer and fall.

The next activity will be a Torrey Basin Petroglyph Trek, July 25. This event is sponsored by the Wind River Visitors Council Trek Series at the Dubois Museum.

For more information call the museum at 307-455-2284, on Facebook at: Dubois Museum & Wind River Historical Center or www.fremontcountymuseums.com
