Dubois, WY - Dubois has been the home of the Wind River Valley Artists’ Guild since 1949 when Joe and Mary Back began the legacy to encourage and stimulate interest in the arts, as well as broaden, deepen and involve individuals and the community in the creative art experience. This year, the Guild will host the 66th National Art Show and Sale at the Headwaters Arts and Conference Center from July 18 through July 27, 2015 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily. The hours for the last day of the show (July 27) are 9 a.m.-Noon. With each year, this non-juried show becomes more noteworthy to both artists and visitors. Hundreds of submissions are entered from all corners of the United States allowing locals and visitors to the area to enjoy and purchase works of art in their community.

The Wind River Valley Artists’ Guild’s National Art Exhibit is open to all professional and non-professional artists and youth (age 17 and under). Awards for the Professional category includes: the Founders Award (Best in Show) $1,000; Wildlife Award $150; Portrait Award (Human & Animal) $150; Landscape Award, $150; Joe & Mary Back Sculpture Award, $150; Still Life Art Award, $150; and there is WRVAG Purchase Award for the WRVAG Permanent Collection at the Headwaters Art and Conference Center.

There are also two top awards for each category. Youth Awards are $50 for 11 years and under and $100 for ages12-17. These Youth awards are sponsored by Leota  Didier.
