Backbone Media Hires Industry Veteran Eric Henderson

(Carbondale, Colo.) July 14, 2015—Backbone Media, the country’s leading active lifestyle agency, has bolstered its public relations team with the addition of longtime outdoor industry professional Eric “Hende” Henderson as senior PR account manager. Henderson, a hard-charging marketer and skier, joins the Backbone team from Salewa North America, where he worked as communications manager.

“Hende is one of the most well-liked and highly regarded PR pros around,” states Backbone Media founding partner Penn Newhard. “We’ve known and respected Hende for many years and we’re really excited he is joining our team.”

Prior to his time with Salewa, Henderson spent over five years as a public relations account manager at Denny, Ink in Jackson, Wyoming. He is an AMGA-certified ski guide who has worked as a heli guide and operations director for Valdez Heli-Ski Guides in Alaska, and as the lead guide for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Henderson is also a classically trained chef who produced large-scale dinners and events at Blue Flax Farm in Victor, Idaho.

Henderson will work in Backbone’s growing Denver office. He lives in Boulder with his wife and three children.
