Award-Winning Bar Near Historic Santa Fe Plaza, Secreto Lounge at Hotel St. Francis

Santa Fe, NM’s top craft cocktail bar is the Secreto Lounge. It specializes in award-winning drinks such as its “Garden-To-Glass” drink series and classic cocktails from yesteryear. The special drinks it has garnered awards for are made with local fruits, vegetables, herbs and many times are made with local distilled spirits and bitters. A Top cocktail offered is the Agave Way: a a tequila-soused, green-chile-infused combination of agave nectar, muddled grapes and lime juice.

For the adventurous cocktail goer the Secreto’s premier drink is its ‘Spicy Secreto’ (Las Vegas, NV 2010 “Shake it Up” First Place Winner). The drink will knock off a cocktail lovers socks. It features a rousing mixture of Cabana Cachaca and St. Germain elderflower liqueur with fresh cucumber, jalapeno, lime juice and cane syrup, rimmed with red chile salt. All the drinks mentioned here are served only at Santa Fe’s Secreto Lounge.

The Secreto Lounge wine list harkens back to historic State of New Mexico, when Franciscan monks were making wine in the area back in the 1600’s. The bar is a showcase feature of the Hotel St. Francis only a block from the Santa Fe’s Historic Plaza. One of the better policies/features of the bar is its dog-friendly confines. People are invited to bring the family canine to the Secreto Lounge, people watch and enjoy a cocktail inside the bar or on the outdoor patio bar area. Also the bar offers dishes from the Hotel St. Francis restaurant, Tabla de Los Santos.
