About Diablo Flamez

Hailing from East Baltimore as the leader of the Street Pirate Army, Diablo Flamez has become one of the areas most talented artists and songwriters. Diablo has become a dominant presence in the streets, nightclubs and mixtapes. Diablo emerges from an interesting storyline. He was once a hidden talent in the streets of Baltimore, until he slayed numerous major label artists in a freestyle contest at Morgan State University. After this recognition, he went on to be featured on local Baltimore club song remixes and on numerous songs with other Baltimore underground rap artists.

It all began in 2005 when Diablo formulated a close relationship with Darkroom Productions. They joined forces to create "Hamsterdam", a mixtape that took the Baltimore music scene by storm and even garnered the attention of various national publications. After moving over 100,000 copies of "Hamsterdam", their body of work nabbed features in Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times, FADER, XXL, VIBE, Pitchfork and countless other publications and blogs. Not long after, HBO took notice and commissioned the team to create original music for the last two seasons of their hit series "The Wire", which was filmed in Baltimore and detailed Baltimore street-life.
