(Poulsbo, WA) – Grundéns, producer of the world’s leading foul weather gear since 1911, announces today the hiring of Ozzy Delgado as senior marketing & community manager. Delgado joins Grundéns from Guy Harvey Magazine, where he most recently served as vice president of sales & marketing. He will lead the brand’s ambassador team and field events, focusing primarily on the warm water fisheries of the sport fishing world.“As Grundéns grows into sport fishing with our first warm weather apparel collection, it’s clear that we need a presence on the ground, says Mat Jackson, general manager of Grundéns. “Florida is the epicenter of sport fishing and Ozzy’s credibility in the space will have an immediate impact. His leadership and connections will fuel our growth in the market and we are delighted to have him on our team.”Effective immediately, Delgado will join the Grundéns marketing team and manage the brand’s ambassador program. He will remain based in Miami, Florida and oversee Grundéns partnerships and presence at events such as offshore fishing tournaments, consumer trade shows, and boat shows.Delgado spent nearly 6 years at Guy Harvey Magazine where he consistently grew sales. He also is a die-hard multi-species angler who loves chasing dorado, marlin and monster tuna. He credits his grandfather and father, both fishermen, with his addiction to saltwater and for instilling in him the values of responsible fishing and ocean conservation. He adds, “Grundéns credibility amongst core anglers is unmatched. From the unrelenting crab grounds of the Bering Sea to chasing world record marlin in Central America, the brand makes the tools anglers need to get the job done. I’m proud to join the team of such an incredible brand and grow its exposure in the sport fishing market. The potential is limitless.”
