MARIETTA, GA, April 21, 2016 -- The Walker School announced this week that Jen Brock will be the school’s Director of Communications and Marketing beginning June 13, 2016. Brock will lead the school’s communications and marketing initiatives through strategic development, planning, and implementation.

Brock's expertise in marketing communications includes positions with Northside Hospital, Georgia State University, and Piedmont Heart Institute, as well as extensive communications consulting for a number of education and nonprofit clients. She has served as the Director of Communications and Marketing at the College of Pharmacy at Mercer University since 2014.

This spring, Walker conducted a national search and the search committee, comprised of administrators, parents and a trustee, made the recommendation to hire Brock.

“The pool of candidates for this position was exceedingly strong, and we feel fortunate to have been able to hire someone with Jen’s expertise, vision, and experience,” said Walker Head of School Jack Hall. “[Upper School Principal] Bob Murphy commented to me that Jen was one of the strongest candidates for any position during his eighteen years at Walker.”

“I am honored to join the Walker family, and I look forward to contributing to the success of the school,” said Brock. “The Walker School has a strong history and a very bright future, and I am

excited about working with our dynamic community of faculty, staff, parents, students, and friends.”

She holds a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and a master’s degree in communication from Georgia State University. Brock lives in the Brookhaven neighborhood of Atlanta.
