Wyoming Whiskey Named “Best of the Rockies” by Elevation Outdoors

KIRBY, WY (Mar. 9, 2016)--Wyoming Whiskey has been voted the “Best Distillery” in the highly competitive “Best of the Rockies 2016” award series hosted by Elevation Outdoors magazine. Wyoming Whiskey is regarded as the whiskey of the west, and of adventurers everywhere.
Elevation Outdoors, a leader in the outdoor industry, identified leading companies in the Rocky Mountain Region which best represent the outdoor lifestyle. As a result, Wyoming Whiskey was presented alongside top-notch distilleries in Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah, and Montana. After two rounds of voting during the early winter months, the magazine’s reader-base chose Wyoming Whiskey above such distinguished distilleries as Woody Creek, Stranahan's and Montanya.
A producer of traditional bourbons, Wyoming Whiskey is owned and operated by fourth-generation cattle ranchers in Kirby, Wyoming, a town of just 92 residents. The independent, family-owned company produces whiskey from the ground up. All ingredients are hand-selected, non-GMO, and grown in the Big Horn Basin by farmer Brent Rageth. Water for the recipe is sourced from a mile-deep, limestone aquifer that hasn’t seen the light of day in over 6,000 years. And extremely hot and frigid Wyoming weather creates a unique flavor profile that is unmatched in the industry.
“This is incredible,” said David DeFazio, Co-Founder and COO at Wyoming Whiskey. "It's an honor to be named the best distillery in the Rockies by the readers of Elevation Outdoors. We promise to bottle the best of what makes the Rocky Mountains great.”
Wyoming Whiskey is currently available in 29 states and will begin distributing in the southeastern U.S. this spring. If you have any questions about distribution in the Rockies, please contact Chris Mastores, the Rocky Mountain Regional Sales Director, at chris@wyomingwhiskey.com. Tours of the distillery are available year round.
