Durango Running Company is regional host of Pearl Izumi’s 2nd Annual PI Fun Run to Celebrate National Pi (π) Day

Louisville, Colo. (Mar. 7, 2016)- Pearl Izumi, maker of performance running apparel and footwear, is excited to celebrate the second annual organization of PI Day Fun Runs across the country. Pearl Izumi Champion's team members, sales staff, specialty retailers and running enthusiasts have united to bring their respective communities together around National PI (π) Day for 3.1415 mile fun runs. Pearl Izumi’s local dealer, Durango Running Company, will host the region’s Fun Run on Saturday, March 12 at 3:14 p.m.

This annual PI Fun Run event is inspired by National Pi Day, falling on Monday, March 14th this year, and celebrates the famous numeral 3.1415. To expand upon the already established monthly Fun Runs that Pearl Izumi hosts on a monthly basis in Louisville, Colo., Pearl Izumi is sponsoring 3.14-mile PI Fun Runs at over 60 locations nationwide—including Durango!

This run event aims to get runners of all disciplines outside, staying active and engaging with their local communities. At the PI Fun Run in Durango, a limited number of t-shirts will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Durango Running Company will also be raffling off a pair of the all-new Pearl Izumi Trail N3 run shoes, which just hit the market on March 1. After the run, stay and rehydrate with refreshing Ska beer (must be 21+) and pie for all ages!

This will be a non-competitive run. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join! Here is a summary of the event details:

When: Saturday, March 12 at 3:00 Run starts at 3:14 p.m.

Where: The run will start and end at Durango Running Company (473 E. College Dr.)
