Los Angeles, CA - January 20, 2015 -- Los Angeles rapper Kartè Carter has announced the upcoming release of his new mixtape, "The Dark Times Memoir." Hosted by the Grammy Award–nominated R&B/hip hop producer and DJ Don Cannon, the new project "The Dark Times Memoir" presents 13 solid tracks of new school hip hop. While the mixtape is slated to debut in early March, Kartè Carter plans to release a single from the project next month on iTunes.

"The Dark Times Memoir" features production from several notable producers including contributions from Savon, SDotFire, TreDaFuture and Don Cannon. As Kartè channels his roots in each track you can understand his creative mindset as an artist. With his life experiences serving as the foundation for his music, "The Dark Times Memoir" is more than just a title - it’s a symbol of his artistic expression.
