GOLD MEDALISTS KRAYZELBURG AND LEZAK LAUNCH

‘CHAMPIONS SWIM & TRAVEL EXPERIENCE

Swim Camp and Cultural Experience to be held in Israel June 15-24, 2016

Los Angeles, CA (January 13, 2016) - Four Time Olympic Gold Medalist Lenny Krayzelburg and Eight Time Olympic Medalist Jason Lezak announced today that they will be leading a camp and cultural experience in ‘The land of Creation’ Israel June 15-24, 2016.  Only 40 swimmers will be able to join Krayzelburg and Lezak.

Excited by the message, Bobby Brewer, 1998 National Champion and former Olympic Agent, has joined on as Director of Marketing. In Israel, the company has partnered with Kenes Travel, led by Israeli Olympian and Auburn Sprint Standout, Yoav Bruck, to create a unique, once in a lifetime cultural tour and activities itinerary.

“Offering this opportunity to young swimmers in the US and beyond has always been a real passion for me," Krayzelburg said.  "I want to provide these swimmers the opportunity to experience what I was so lucky to experience in my career.  This is truly a unique and inspirational adventure.” “Jason and I both significantly benefited from visiting Israel in our careers . We decided it was time to share our passion for this cultural experience and our swimming knowledge with a new generation in hopes that we can inspire future Olympians.”

2016 will be the inaugural year for Champions Swim & Travel Experience in Israel. The camp will be held in and around Tel-Aviv, Israel visiting some of the most famous culturally significant tourist locations in the world.  Training will take place at the Wingate Institute, Israel's National Center for Physical Education and Sport, host of the 2015 Short Course European Championships. Krayzelburg and Lezak will participate in the camp with hands-on coaching, video analysis, touring, and more.

“This is very important to me because I grew up hearing stories of Israel. Later in my career, I had the opportunity to visit, train, and compete there and it made a huge impact on my life. I know this experience will inspire swimmers to explore and understand their heritage as well as give Lenny and me the chance to share the things we’ve learned in our careers,” said Lezak. “This is a great chance for young swimmers to experience Israel while increasing their knowledge of our sport.”

Champions Swim & Travel Experience will feature eight days of travel, training, and cultural excursions in and around Israel for swimmers ages 13-18.

About Champions Swim & Travel Experience

Champions Swim & Travel Experience was founded by Olympic Champions Lenny Krayzelburg and Jason Lezak, giving swimmers a chance to spend eight days interacting and learning from direct under their tutelage, getting advice on improving strokes, receiving motivational guidance, video analysis, tips for pre and post race approach, nutrition, and more.

Out of the pool campers will take part in cultural and educational experiences touring one of the oldest and most historical countries in the world. This is truly the experience of a lifetime that aims to enhance the campers’ athletic and cultural knowledge. We believe that the experience of a trip to Israel can be a building block of their cultural identity, and that by providing this opportunity to young swimmers, we can strengthen bonds with the land and people of Israel and solidarity among swimming communities worldwide.
