Boulder, Colo. (December 8, 2015) — Boulder-based BOCO Gear pledges to protect the places we play by becoming the newest member of The Conservation Alliance.

Through this new partnership, BOCO Gear will support The Conservation Alliance’s mission to protect and preserve North America’s last wild spaces. With the help of Alliance member companies, the organization has helped protect 44 million acres, 2,945 river miles, removed or halted 26 dams, purchased 10 climbing areas and designated five marine reserves.

“The Conservation Alliance has been an organization that continues to make great strides in protecting the wild places where we love to play,” said Kay Martin, President of BOCO Gear. “In joining the Alliance, we can combine our efforts and have a more significant impact on protecting these beautiful areas for future generations.”

“We are thrilled to welcome BOCO Gear to our list of members; companies working hard to protect the places where their employees and customers recreate. BOCO Gear will play an important role in our grantee selection and conservation advocacy,” said John Sterling, Executive Director of The Conservation Alliance.
