Tips for Beautifying Your Lips

  • Written by: News Company

Our lips are a prominent feature of our face and are one of the main things people focus on when looking at us. We try to make them as beautiful as possible, may it be through serums, balms or lip injections.

To relax the lips and prevent them from losing volume due to tension we can do facial exercises, which will relax the area and allow us to have fuller lips for a perfect pout.

Each person has a volume and a proper shape of lips, but with the passage of time they begin to lose their firmness and volume, and not only cosmetic surgery or conventional cosmetic products can help us prevent it.

In this article, we will provide you with some homemade and natural tips so that you get lips that have more colour, volume, and firmness. In only a few days you will see how your lips will become perfect and provide a radiant and revitalized look to your face.

1. Relax and tone the lips

One of the many reasons why the lips dwarf or sharpen over time is due to facial tension, particularly of our mouth. When we bear emotional tensions or moments of stress we tend to tighten the jaw and mouth, and that eventually contracts the muscles and gives a finer look to our lips.

For this reason, initially, we need to realize during the day if we have relaxed and tight lips. We can also spend a couple of minutes each day to relax, performing the following exercise:

We will have to close the mouth and press the lips tightly, putting them even in the mouth, and keep this gesture for 5 or 10 seconds.

This will help release pressure from the lips, breathing deeply and pulling the lips out exaggeratedly.

We will have to repeat this at least ten times and do two to three reps a day.

2. Improve circulation

There is another exercise that will help us greatly improve the circulation of the labial area, which will allow blood to circulate well through the lips and look beautiful in colour.

3. An occasional exfoliation

Our lips also accumulate lots of dead cells like any other part of our body. But our lips have delicate and soft skin that you have to take care of a lot. Therefore, we recommend exfoliation but very occasionally after fifteen days or even every month.

In order to do this, take baking soda as it has quite a fine texture. Combine it with any vegetable oil (olive, coconut, almond, or any other). We should usually do it before going to bed, to avoid having to leave with the reddened area.

Then we will have to clean with water and then leave the oil remaining overnight.

4. Hydrate them often

The lips usually get dried, and that worsens their appearance noticeably. Especially if we use lipstick, but also if we often suffer from lips that are dry and cracked, we will attach great importance to this point. You can also buy amazing tween lip balm for your lips from Luv Ur Skin.

Lips should be hydrated every morning and night with a good lip balm. It can also be any specific lipstick, but we can also simply use simple cocoa butter or vegetable oil.

When we make a face mask we can use this to nourish our lips with any of the following:

  1. Avocado

  2. Yogurt

  3. Honey

6. Learn to massage your lips

Whilst we hydrate them we can take the opportunity to massage them, to achieve the following benefits:

  • Boost your lips hydration

  • Improve the circulation

  • Relax the musculature of the labial area

  • Give them more colour and volume

  • Get lips that are attractive and bright

Make your own lipstick

We can also make our own homemade lipstick by mixing equal parts of beeswax, cocoa butter and olive or almond oil.

In addition, we can add a drop of some edible essential oil that we like. For example, we can add and dissolve a drop of ginger, eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon, and lavender or mint essential oil well in the mixture.

And if we still want to make it more original, with beet powder we will give it a reddish colour. We will put everything in the water bath (except essential oils, which will be added when the fire is extinguished) and let it melt. We will mix it well and put it in moulds, bottles or empty lipsticks. Once it has cooled it will harden and be ready to use.

Solar protection

In summer, and especially in times of maximum solar radiation, we tend to protect our skin with solar factor but we forget the lips, which are also a very sensitive part of our body.

At noon we could use special sunscreen lip balm. We will find them in pharmacies, but try to choose one that does not carry parabens or other toxic to your health.

About the lipstick

Most cosmetic products, including personal hygiene products, carry a large number of toxic substances.

These toxic are, in their majority, endocrine disruptors that, in addition, would be related to the appearance of cancers and tumours today. And besides being worrisome because what is applied to our skin enters the body through the pores, it is even more serious if we take into account that what we put on our lips we ingest directly.

Beware of dangers

Some of the most dangerous components are heavy metals, silicones, and petroleum derivatives such as liquid paraffin and preservatives, which accumulate in our body and which can eventually cause diseases. In addition, it is especially harmful to pregnant women and children, as it can be easily absorbed by the fetus.

That is why we recommend using ecological lipsticks or that guarantee that they do not contain lead, which is added so that the lipstick lasts longer.

Beware of tobacco

Finally, one last tip for smokers. Smoking and use of tobacco in whichever form it may be used, in addition to its negative effects on health and worsen the texture and colour of our skin can also cause the appearance of the wrinkles on the lips, which greatly age the face.

Conclusion

The lips are a delicate part of our body that we must take care of to keep them soft, smooth, and hydrated. In addition, if we do it with natural products and massage them usually we can also achieve a certain natural volume.

Finally, if we have time we recommend doing a massage all over the face, as that will improve the appearance of our entire face, the texture of the skin and help us prevent wrinkles in the most natural way.
