After getting enrolled in a university in Melbourne, the first thing students need is a place for accommodation.

There are a lot of options for such students in Melbourne. Here, you will read about those options.

University Halls

University halls are the types of accommodation complexes, which are managed by the universities. You can find these halls in or attached to the university campuses. The university halls of Deakin University are widely popular today.

In the university halls, you find a lot of facilities. You can play indoor games like pool, enjoy different types of sports such as basketball, boxing, etc., and can have loads of fun with your friends with the features that you find in the complex of your university halls.

There are different types of accommodation units that you can find in the university halls in Melbourne. The popular ones include:

Shared Apartments: In shared apartments, you can find your private bedroom but the apartment is shared by other residents. Similarly, other residents have their own bedrooms. Bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas are shared by all the residents. In these apartments, you can find study tables & chairs, single beds, wardrobes, bookshelves, Wi-Fi internet connections, recreational facilities, dining features, and more.

Studio Apartments: If you want privacy then a studio apartment is the right option for you. In a studio apartment, you can find a large area, with a study desk & chair, wardrobe, bookshelves, a kitchen area with a microwave & oven, fridge, kettle, and more. The bathroom is also private for students in a studio apartment. Studios are also equipped with Wi-Fi internet connections.

Private Student Housing Complexes

Private student housing complexes are the perfect private alternatives to university halls. They are built by private developers but offer a number of facilities as per the requirements of international students. Students find the facilities for their studies, fun, fitness, and dining.

You can find an in-house gym in the complex of your student accommodation Melbourne where you can visit for doing advanced workouts. Moreover, you can also enjoy playing the games like pool, table tennis, etc. in the games room available in the complex. A cinema can also be found by you in your accommodation complex for your entertainment.

Moreover, the rooms in these units have study desks and chairs for the studies of students. In addition, there are study rooms also where students can pay attention towards their studies without any disturbance. Furthermore, there are wardrobes, bookshelves, other storage spaces, beds, Wi-Fi internet connections, and several other amenities available in the accommodation units in student housing complexes.

There are different types of accommodations available in the student housing complexes, among which the major ones include:

Apartments: Apartments may be available with one or more bedrooms. You can find your private bedroom but in a multiple-bedroom apartment, you will find the other residents in the other bedrooms. Bathrooms can either be ensuite or shared. The other areas such as living rooms and kitchens are shared by every resident.

Studios: Studios are self-contained units in which students get study areas, kitchen areas, living areas, etc. in a single large space. Here, students can get everything private. There are private washrooms available in the studios.

Ensuite Rooms: Ensuite rooms are private rooms for students where they get ensuite bathrooms. Study areas, beds, etc. can be found here. These ensuite rooms are located in the flats where all the residents get shared kitchens and living rooms.

Shared Rooms: Shared rooms are shared by multiple residents. All the things such as bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms, are shared by all the residents of these rooms.

Private Rental Apartments

Private rental apartments are houses located in different areas of Melbourne, which are not specifically designed for students but are offered to international students. However, today, there are many facilities available in these apartments and their complexes, which students find in the housing complexes meant for them.

Swimming pools, gyms, spas & saunas, gyms, study tables & chairs, bookshelves, dining tables, microwaves, and many such features are available here that are very useful for students. In these apartments, students are free to make their own rules.
