Pop Up Converted Shipping Containers at Regional Victorian Wineries

Visitors can wake up amongst the vines for a limited time in upcycled converted shipping containers as Visit Victoria launches a state first. 

Wine Down Pop Up is a unique and pop-up vineyard escape which will see two beautifully crafted eco-luxury pods by Contained move across three premier Victorian wine regions from April to July 2019.

Guests can immerse themselves in the romantic world of wine and discover the fruits of Victoria's Gippsland, King Valley and Macedon wine regions for an unforgettable short break in regional Victoria.

As well as being amongst the lucky few to experience this unique accommodation, visitors can indulge in Victoria's world class wine and local produce. A gourmet gastronomical safari across three distinct regions with exclusive luxury lodging in comfortable and sophisticated hotel rooms set amongst the vines.

With bookings now available, visitors can use Wine Down Pop Up to find #YourHappySpace as a hub to explore the regions acclaimed culinary and artisanal experiences or simply slow down, disconnect and recharge with an escape from the everyday rigours of life.

Included in the stay is a bespoke winery experience and complimentary bottle of wine while offering optional local inspired experiences, gourmet food hampers and picnic packs.

Founded on sustainable luxury in collaboration with local makers and creators, Wine Down Pop Up offers guests an experience featuring high end finishes, floor to ceiling bi-fold doors to a private deck, a queen size bed with Cultiver linen, private bathroom with Hunter Lab toiletries, minibar, continental breakfast and a hot tub.

The boutique stay will open on the doorstep of the famed Wilsons Promontory at South Gippsland's Waratah Hills Vineyard, mainland Australia's most southern winery, from April 3 to April 27. Located just six kilometres from the beautiful Fish Creek township, Waratah Hills is recognised as one of Australia's best locations for the production of Pinot Noir.

The pop up hotel will move to Dal Zotto Wines in the heart of the King Valley from May 6 to June 2. A cornerstone on the popular Prosecco Road, Dal Zotto has pioneered the sparkling Italian variety since the family planted the first Prosecco grapes twenty years ago. Visitors can experience genuine Italian family hospitality and the the true “la dolce vita” lifestyle at this beautiful Victorian country setting.

Macedon's family owned Mount Towrong Vineyard will host the third and final location for the temporary retreat from June 7 to July 7. Guests can beat the winter chill with a cosy short break to the romantic region just 60 kilometres from Melbourne. The Cremasco family's passion for food and wine continue today with an inviting cellar door and restaurant, complete with fireplaces and stunning uninterrupted views across the valley.
