Top 6 Tips For Choosing The Right Wedding Car

  • Written by: NewsCo

As your wedding day is swiftly approaching, you feel more jittery and overwhelmed with the wedding preparations and all the bullets you’ll need to tick on your checklist. You want to make sure everything's planned from your wedding dress, hairstyle, wedding decorations down to your wedding cake, guest list, wedding theme, and more. In simplest terms, there are many things you need to think of and plan before your wedding day, and one of the things you must never miss in your checklist is your wedding car.

Considerations For Your Wedding Car

Choosing your wedding car is one of the most crucial decisions you’ll need to make during the planning process. Just like in choosing your wedding gown, picking a car can be overwhelming as so many choices often surround you. Moreover, choosing your wedding car isn't only limited to colour and design, but you also need to consider its functionality. Thus, you’re always reminded to choose your wedding car by yourself rather than delegating the task to someone else.

To make it easier for you, here are some tips you must remember when choosing your wedding car:

1. Start Your Search Early

The reason why it’s best to start searching for your wedding car early is to ensure your chosen vehicle is available on your wedding day. Remember, you’re not the only one getting married, and conflict in schedules can happen. So to avoid getting yourself disappointed and stressed about fully-booked car rentals, give yourself enough time to browse within your city. This will increase your chances of securing the car you want while ensuring it’s available on your wedding date.

2. See The Cars Before Finalizing Your Booking

Suppose you’ve found a wedding car company with the vehicle you want. Before you go ahead and reserve it right away, it’s best if you book an appointment and view their cars in their showroom. Some wedding car companies like Wedding Cars Of Sydney and others let you schedule a showroom appointment, so you’ll know exactly what to expect on the day of your wedding.

Seeing the car physically will also help you make better decisions, and determine if the paintwork needs any correction before your big day. Once you’ve seen it and loved everything about it, don’t hesitate to book it right away before anyone else does.

3. Consider The Size

One of the crucial considerations you mustn’t miss when choosing your wedding car is its size. If you’re planning to wear a puffy, bulky wedding gown on your wedding day, then you need to make sure your dress can fit through the car door without getting wrinkled while both you and your partner have enough spaces to move despite your large wedding gown.

Moreover, it needs to be spacious enough for you to easily get in and out of the car without stepping on your dress. Remember, wedding photographers and videographers will be watching and picturing your every move, so you might want to look graceful and effortlessly fabulous as you step out of the car.

Likewise, if you’ll be wearing a long and slender wedding dress, it’s best if you book a car with lower height as this type of dress will restrict your leg movements as you step inside the car. The last thing you’d want to happen is to rip off your dress while trying to get inside your wedding car.

4. Complement Your Colour Scheme

As mentioned earlier, wedding photographers will be capturing every moment in your wedding —including your wedding car. Your chosen car will most likely appear in many of your photos, so it may be best to choose a car going well with your wedding’s colour scheme. You can either go for a neutral-coloured car or you can book something standing out in the pictures but still complements well with your gown and overall wedding theme.

5. Consider Your Budget

There are many car designs, colours, and car types to select from, but your budget will control your every move and decision during the planning process. Remember, the fancier car you choose for your wedding, the more expensive it can be. If you have enough budget to splurge on a luxury car for your wedding day, then you can do so. Otherwise, stick to your budget, so you can prioritize other wedding preparations too.

6. Don’t Forget Your Bridal And Groom Party

Don’t get too excited about booking your wedding car to the point of forgetting your wedding guests! Make sure you also book a vehicle for your mother, your bridesmaids, and your groomsmen to get to the wedding venue and reception. Double-check your guest counting, so you’ll know how many cars you’ll need to reserve for them.

Ride In Style On Your Wedding Day

Now you know the crucial tips to remember in choosing your wedding car, go ahead and search early. The car you’ll select will most likely reflect your personality and your wedding theme, and regardless of which car choice you go, it’s all fine as long as you’re happy and comfortable with your choice.

Remember, it’s your wedding day so you can always go for the wedding car of your dreams.
