Horizon Nexus Partners expands its Deals Advisory practice with seven senior appointments

  • Written by: Daily Bulletin

Five new partners and two directors significantly strengthen Horizon Nexus Partners' leading transaction services, valuations, integration and separation (Deals Advisory) capabilities for private, corporate and private equity clients.

The appointments take

the Deals Advisory practice from seven to 12 partners, who bring extensive experience from PwC, Deloitte, EY and DLA Piper.

SYDNEY, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The expanded team gives Horizon Nexus Partners the depth to lead large, complex transactions from financial due diligence and valuation through to carve-out, separation and post-deal integration.

All seven appointees have now commenced across the firm's offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Horizon Nexus Partners looks forward to announcing further senior appointments across its practice areas in the months ahead.

Iain Yuile joins as a senior transaction services partner from PwC. Iain is a trusted adviser to leading corporate clients, financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on large, complex transactions, including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence and carve-outs.

Priya Taliwal joins from PwC, further strengthening the firm's transaction services capability across corporate and sponsor-led deals.

Alexandra White joins from Deloitte with extensive experience in independent valuations of businesses, equity interests and intangible assets for transactions, financial reporting, tax and dispute purposes.

Guy Fisher and Simon Uykun join from DLA Piper, bringing a senior-led operational lens to separation and integration services, advising boards and sponsors on carve-out design, transitional service arrangements, value creation and day-one readiness.

Aarani Anandabaskaran and Anthony Penklis join as transaction services directors, bolstering the practice's execution capability as the firm's deal pipeline grows.

Depth and a sharpened valuations offer

The appointment of Iain Yuile and the other senior hires announced today signals Horizon Nexus Partners' intent to compete for the largest and most complex private equity and corporate mandates, combining deep transaction expertise with a highly experienced, partner-led advisory model. Financial sponsors and corporates increasingly want one team that can run diligence, value the asset and plan the separation or integration. Horizon's Deals Advisory practice is already supporting significant transactions, including recent work for REA Group on its announced acquisition of a 35% interest in Ireland-based Distilled Ltd, and for 38sth on its investment in New Plumbing Solutions.

Alexandra White's arrival materially expands Horizon Nexus Partners' valuations capability at a time when demand is set to rise. Recent Federal Budget measures are expected to require many businesses, trusts and investors to obtain independent asset valuations in 2027. Horizon Nexus Partners expects clients to need defensible, well-documented valuations for tax, financial reporting and transaction purposes, and has built the team to deliver this at scale.

Quotes

Rob Silverwood, CEO, Horizon Nexus Partners:

"Significantly expanding the Deals Advisory practice in a single month is a statement about where Horizon Nexus Partners is heading. We are building a deals team that can take on the most demanding transactions in the country and advise clients end to end. Iain, Priya, Alexandra, Guy and Simon are among the best in their fields, and they chose Horizon because they want to build something, not inherit it."

"We are unique in our category. Clients and partners are coming to us because they want a firm that combines deep technical capability with unmatched senior partner attention on every engagement."
