About Rebel J. Rose

Great music touches everyone and transcends boundaries. It is limitless and withstands the tests of time. It has no form, no shape, no texture, yet all textures. It is felt, experienced. It is a gift to the world and as far back as Rebel Rose can remember, it has always had a place in his heart. Inspired by the works of Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, and Rick James, Rebel Rose began singing as part of a group. There, he fostered skills in harmonizing and collaboration.

As a teen, he ended up as a solo artist and was signed to Big Starz Entertainment. There, he recorded his first maxi single "Are You Ready?" which did well locally. Shortly after, Rebel Rose began creating his own music and developed his skills under producer Nottz Raw, a Virginia native who has worked with artists such as Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, and Snoop Dogg and he also worked with Roosevelt "Bink" Harrell, who was the producer for Jay Z, Kanye West, John Legend, among others. He was also mentored by Andreao "Fanatic" Heard, who has produced music for artists such as Lil’ Kim and Will Smith.
