Glenwood Springs Named a Winning Town by Outside Magazine

Glenwood Springs scored a fifth place finish in Outside magazine’s contest to identify the 16 Best Places to Live in America! (Although locals will tell anyone who asks, that Glenwood Springs gets the number one ranking as their top town.) In May, Outside Magazine preselected 64 towns across the country based on places with great access to trails and public lands, thriving restaurants and neighborhoods, and, of course, a good beer scene. Glenwood Springs was a shoe-in for the contest with miles of scenic hiking and biking trails; the White River National Forest at its doorstep; and a flourishing downtown dining scene with a hoppin’ local brewery. Hot springs amenities and outdoor adventures that include thrill rides, rafting, and winter sports rounded out Glenwood’s appeal. After choosing the towns for the competition, Outside left it up to enthusiastic fans to vote for their favorite towns.
