Latina Actress CARLA VILA Demands Answers in Season Two of HBO’s Acclaimed Drama Series “TRUE DETECTIVE”

As the investigation of crooked political leader Ben Caspere’s murder heats up, Detective Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams) crosses paths with Danielle Delvayo (Vila), the matriarch of a low income family. The plot thickens as Danielle expresses her frustration over her sister Vera’s disappearance being overlooked by the authorities. We soon learn that Vera is potentially connected to Caspere’s death, but will Danielle ever learn what happened to her missing sibling?

Vila was thrilled to join the Season Two cast of this riveting tale, explaining "Working on ‘True Detective’ and fulfilling creator Nic Pizzolatto's vision was immensely rewarding. This rising Latina beauty has built a solid reputation as an actress and model in Hollywood and beyond. Vila’s previous credits include memorable roles on several award-winning drama series, including ABC’s wildly-popular GREY’S ANATOMY, TNT’s cop thriller SOUTHLAND, and NBC’s long-running hospital saga E.R. 

Vila grew-up in Florida after her family emigrated from El Salvador. As a young adult, she returned to study, eventually graduating from Albert Einstein University of El Salvador with a Degree in Architecture. She then moved to Paris where she started her training and acting career. 

Up next, Vila is co-producing a documentary about the lives of Salvadorans who emigrated in the 1980’s.
