Dubois, WY - Children’s games, historic cabins tours, a quick draw and silent auction, live entertainment, crafts and demonstrations are the highlights of the 2015 Museum Day on Saturday, July 18. The annual festival is held at the Dubois Museum located at 909 West Ramshorn in Dubois from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Museum Day is an event sponsored by the Dubois Museum Association featuring traditional Western craft displays and demonstrations by local artists. Many artisans will have items such as jewelry, beadwork and antler art for sale.

The historic cabins will come alive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with interpreters dressed in clothing of the era and located in each cabin and share unique perspectives on local history.

Local artist Gary Keimig will be creating a quick draw painting.  The results of his efforts will be sold at a silent auction with bidding closing at 2 p.m.. Tom Lucas, another well known local artist, will be demonstrating the art of flint knapping.  The items he makes on site may be purchased.

All-day musical entertainment will be featured. Traditional homestead stew, fry bread, hot dogs and lemonade will be served free of charge from 11 a.m. 2 p.m.  Any donations will be appreciated. Locally made breads, jams, cookies and pies will be sold at the bake sale.  Home-baked goods will be sold until the last item is gone.  Anyone wanting to donate baked goods may bring them to the museum on Friday, July 17 or Saturday morning by 9:30 a.m.
