Las Vegas – Two of music’s most captivating live performers, Counting Crows and Rob Thomas, will unite for their first tour together with an anticipated stop at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) on Saturday, September 17.
Local tickets will go on sale Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com and dlvec.com and start at $45.50 plus applicable fees.
Praised as “one of the most popular and easily identifiable rock groups in America” by National Public Radio, Counting Crows will bring to their complete discography to Las Vegas that spans the past two decades. The band’s latest release, Somewhere Under Wonderland, was recognized as one of the group’s “stronger works” by USA Today and claimed a spot on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Songs of 2014 with the track “Dislocation”.
"Twenty years ago Rob and I were like kids running around Italy in the middle of the night getting drunk and playing gigs,” said Adam Duritz, lead vocalist of Counting Crows. “I still love nothing more than touring with my friends. This is going to be a great summer.”
The upcoming tour will also celebrate Rob Thomas’ 3rd solo project, The Great Unknown, which was released last year. Rolling Stone praised Thomas as “the same consummate pop-rock craftsman who has been making it all sound so smooth for years.” The Great Unknown was produced by a remarkable roster of studio all-stars and features the hit single, “Hold On Forever” as well as the soon-to-be released “Pieces.”
Thomas said, "Music is about good friends getting together and celebrating life. Our fans are going to be doing that in the audience and we will be doing that on stage as well. Bring on the summer!”
