Los Angeles-based interior design firm to focus on financial, technology, entertainment, retail, and academic sectors

(LOS ANGELES, CA) Recognizing the need for client-focused, hands-on, senior-level project leadership, Kathryn Hampton and Susanne Molinarecently established K2S studio, a Los Angeles-based interior design firm serving the financial, technology, entertainment, retail, and academic sectors.

 “Kathryn and I are delighted to open K2S studio here in the burgeoning and vibrant downtown LA arts district,” said Ms. Molina. “And we’re looking forward to combining our large firm experience with small firm personal attention to continue to create smart, creative and inspiring spaces for our clients.”

K2S studio offers more than 60 years of combined experience in providing award winning design solutions and in-depth knowledge of construction methods and project management. The firm has relationships with many clients that span several years and multiple projects.

“Susanne and I formed K2S studio in order to provide smart, creative solutions for the ever-changing workplace. We believe a successful project with a satisfied client is the result of   personal attention and dedicated service provided by an experienced and cross-trained team of design professionals,” said Ms. Hampton. “We approach every project as an opportunity for a long-term relationship, rather than a singular event, and believe firmly that dedicated principal involvement throughout the course of the project will lead to a successful result and satisfied client.”

About Kathryn Hampton IIDA, CID

With a passion for creating image-driven spaces that reflect each company's unique culture, Ms. Hampton enjoys the challenge of collaborating with clients to help them realize their vision, and has enjoyed many long-term, repeat relationships throughout her career. Ms. Hampton has worked at large firms, as well as smaller firms and had her own 8-person firm in Dallas, Texas, before returning to Los Angeles and teaming with Susanne to form K2S studio. Skilled in all aspects of the design and project management process, Ms. Hampton utilizes her expertise to help keep the team focused on the critical path steps that are necessary to keep the project moving forward.  Ms. Hampton graduated from Louisiana Tech University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design.

About Susanne Molina FIIDA, CID, LEED AP

Ms. Molina has worked at both large and small firms, developing strong relationships with her clients by providing personal, hands-on service from project inception through completion. Ms. Molina is cross-trained in all aspects of the project from strategic planning and pre-leasing efforts to planning, design, construction documentation and administration. Ms. Molina also provides comprehensive project management services for her clients. With more than 30 years of experience, she is able to approach her clients and projects with a keen eyeand provide smart, forward-thinking solutions. Ms. Molina graduated from Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Environmental Design. Susanne is certified in the State of California and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
