– University Recognizes Students for Academic Excellence During 2015 Fall Semester –

AURORA, Colo. – March 29, 2016 – American Sentinel University named 360 undergraduate students to the 2015 Fall Dean’s List, which recognizes undergraduate students for academic excellence in the nursing and healthcare management programs during the 2015 fall semester.

Eligibility for the Dean’s List is based on the cumulative grade point average for all coursework of 3.9 or higher and a semester grade point average of 3.9 or higher for the period September through December 2015.

“The priorities in healthcare have evolved in the last decade and at American Sentinel University we strive to transform healthcare through education. We help build a more educated and diverse healthcare-focused workforce capable of addressing increasingly complex healthcare challenges,” says Judy Burckhardt, Ph.D., MAEd, MSN, RN, Dean and Professor, Nursing and Healthcare Management Programs at American Sentinel University.

Burckhardt says the first step begins with a high-quality education program and students that strive to excel in their field. “We are proud that so many of our alumni work at some of the top healthcare faculties and organizations and are making a difference in the lives of so many.”

Currently, American Sentinel graduates work at more than 300 healthcare facilities and organizations throughout the U.S. including Mayo Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, Geisinger Health System, Maury Regional Medical Center, Spectrum Health, Centura Health and Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

“The 360 undergraduate students recognized on the Dean’s List represent 13 percent of American Sentinel’s total student active population,” she says.

The 2015 fall Dean’s List includes students from the nursing and healthcare management programs. Dean’s List students, listed alphabetically, can be seen at http://www.americansentinel.edu/blog/2016/03/28/2015-fall-semester-deans-list/
