KENT, Washington (March 1, 2016)Diamondback Bicycles, one of North America’s most well-known and respected cycling brands, unleashes Level Link, a patent-pending short-link, four-bar suspension system, in two new mountain bike models available today: the Catch 27.5+ and 27.5-inch Release.

“Working with suspension visionary Luther Beal, we set out with a clear mission: to make the best pedaling trail bike on the planet,” says Michael Brown, Diamondback’s VP of product development. “The Level Link platform isolates horizontal pedaling forces and controls chain growth, maximizing traction on technical climbs and cornering performance. This allows the Catch and Release to climb like cross-country bikes without compromising their ability to charge the most aggressive lines, all at accessible price points that deliver unmatched value in today’s off-road market.”

Whether flowing through rolling singletrack or accelerating hard out of tight corners, the Catch and Release deliver speed and traction everywhere. Level Link is fully responsive on the trail, offering excellent bump compliance, predictably soaking up both small and large hits. On climbs, the rear wheel stays planted, delivering grip on long fire roads and punchy technical sections.

Level Link achieves this with a lower link that stays parallel to the chain, and an upper link that is in optimal position to react to the trail, especially while pedaling. The Catch and Release transfer power with very little energy disappearing into the suspension, and soak up large and small hits with ease. In short, the patent-pending Level Link design delivers tons of efficient traction and a supple, aggressive ride.

Diamondback ReleaseFeaturing a long top tube and slack geometry, the hallmarks of progressive trail bikes, the Release is a quiver killer, providing a stable ride at speed and power on climbs. The highlight of the 27.5-inch Release line is the Release Three, which features a 150mm Rock Shox Pike RCT3 fork and Monarch Plus RC3 Debonair in the back, SRAM X1 drivetrain, and SRAM Guide brakes. MAP pricing for the Release Three is $3,900. The Release Two and One are priced at $3,500 and $2,500, respectively.

Diamondback CatchDesigned for adventure, the Catch features the emerging oversized 27.5+ wheel/tire combination, which delivers incredible traction and flotation when the trail gets loose. The Catch Two features a 130mm Fox Float 34 fork, Rock Shox Monarch RT3 shock, SRAM GX drivetrain, and SRAM Guide R brakes. The Catch Two retails for $3,500, and the Catch One, featuring SRAM GX and DB3 components, retails for $2,500.
