Award Winning Actress / Broadway Veteran Stephanie Fredricks Makes Film Debut in Henry Jaglom’s 'OVATION' Opposite James Denton

Los Angeles, CA (February 9, 2016) – Stephanie Fredricks known for her award-winning work in theatre, from Broadway to Los Angeles, makes her feature film debut in Henry Jaglom’s new film, OVATION.
OVATION stars Jaglom’s wife and long-time collaborator, Tanna Frederick, and James Denton of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES fame. The film takes a behind-the-scenes look at life in the theatre, and the struggle actress Maggie Chase (Tanna Frederick) faces when having to choose between her heart and her career. OVATION recently premiered at the Santa Fe Film Festival, where Jaglom received the Outstanding Achievement in Independent Film Making honor.
Stephanie Fredricks plays the role of Sybil Edwards, Stewart Henry’s (Denton) fiancée, who finds herself in danger of losing the man she loves to his new passion for the theatre, and possibly, its leading lady. Fredricks delivers an emotionally charged performance when her character is faced with losing everything.
OVATION screens at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival on February 26th at 9:30pm, at the Beverly Hills Music Hall, 9036 Wilshire Blvd. The film is slated for distribution to art houses in March.
Ms. Fredricks, born and raised in NYC, has made a living on the legitimate stage since her New York theatre debut at the age of 9. She has performed roles in both plays and musicals on Broadway and across the country. Most recently, Ms. Fredricks starred in the Los Angeles premiere of Sondheim on Sondheim at the International City Theatre. On February 8th, she performed and presented at the 30th Robby Awards for Excellence in Theatre, where she and her fellow cast members won the award for Best Ensemble Performance.
