COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 12, 2016 — Silver Rock Recovery, one of the newest substance-abuse facilities in Nevada, recently announced it received full accreditation from The Joint Commission (TJC). The Las Vegas-based facility becomes only the third health and human services facility in Nevada to offer full RTC services with a TJC stamp of approval, according to TJC's website.

"I can't even begin to express my level of excitement," said Gene Miller, Silver Rock's executive director, on Friday after learning of the exclusive accreditation. "I am so happy for our staff. They have worked so hard to get Silver Rock to where it is. They should all be very proud of this. Since our inception we have strived to make this the best facility in Nevada. I think this certainly validates what we are trying to accomplish."

Silver Rock Recovery is an affiliate of Solid Landings Behavioral Health, a Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company, which started from a single sober living facility a little more than eight years ago and has grown into one of the premier substance-abuse providers in the country. Silver Rock, which opened its doors in August of 2015, is a 62-bed unit, which offers comprehensive, multi-diagnostic care catered to men and women suffering from alcohol and drug dependence, as well as other addictions. In addition to RTC (Residential Treatment Center), Silver Rock offers IOP (Intensive Out-Patient), PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and OP (Out-Patient) services.

"We are extraordinarily pleased that Silver Rock obtained this very significant accreditation," said Steve Fennelly, CEO and president of Solid Landings, which, in addition to Nevada, operates facilities in California and Texas. "Everything we do at Solid Landings comes down to providing the best client care possible. I feel comfortable saying that Gene (Miller) and his staff have gone above and beyond to meet our expectations."

The Joint Commission is one of the most prestigious, and rigorous, accreditation organizations in the country. A majority of state governments recognize its accreditation as a condition of licensure. Additionally, TJC accredits more than 20,000 health care organizations nationwide.

However, Miller admits he was a cautiously optimistic after a TJC surveyor with a strict reputation was assigned to review Silver Rock a few months back.

"We had a very detailed surveyor assigned to us and had a final survey with only eight findings from thousands of standards," Miller said. "This accreditation separates us from the rest of the pack. This means more insurance companies will cover our treatment. We want to be the best and provide the best.  We are dedicated to being the premier provider of client care and employment in Nevada. We feel this will go a long way toward achieving that goal."
