Move over Milan and Paris, Sydney is now the design capital of the world with Afterpay Australian Fashion Week announcing that for the first time ever, luxury boutique hotel brand, SKYE Suites will be the official hotel partner for the most prestigious fashion event of the year.  This exciting partnership seamlessly links the pinnacle of fashion design with the pinnacle of hotel design, to showcase the trailblazers in innovative Australian design

 

From the 31st May until the 4th June, SKYE Suites will host a selection of the most prominent Australian designers, models and fashion gurus during the weeklong event held at Carriageworks, Sydney. This year’s event will have all eyes from around the globe watching as Australian models strut their stuff – something that hasn’t been seen in person for over 12 months with Fashion Week in, New York, Paris, and most recently London all being held virtually.

 

SKYE Suites Director of Hotels, David Bowen details “this exciting partnership is the perfect way to showcase of the leaders in Australian design, across both hotels and fashion. We can’t wait to provide fashion’s most passionate consumers an all-encompassing experience that extends from the runway to the hotel room. The dynamic and awe-inspiring experiences of Fashion Week perfectly compliment the eye-catching exterior of each SKYE Suites buildings crafted by engaging world-renowned architect Koichi Takada, as well as the interiors of the hotels by Juliet Ashworth (former Editor in Chief of Vogue Australia) from CHADA.

Each SKYE Suites hotel has been purposefully designed to be the ultimate urban resort offering guests an all-encompassing experience from the exquisite hotel facilities to the boutique shopping and world-class dining experiences on the hotel’s doorstep. Through AAFW and all year round, guests of SKYE Suites’ can enjoy a serene escape with a sense of style and luxury in suites that incorporate Japanese minimalist design with high end furnishings.

 

In the coming weeks, SKYE Suites and Afterpay Australian Fashion Week will be launching a combined ticket and travel package. This will be available to book at www.skyesuites.com.au.
