MI Storage for your Vehicle Storage and Parking Needs

  • Written by: Daily Bulletin

Self-storage reminds us of looking for an area where we can store stuff from our homes that we are not using at the moment. If the possession that you need to keep is a vehicle, then you cannot easily find a storage place for that. Good thing that there is what we call vehicle storage. It functions similarly to your typical storage, but there are several preferences to guarantee the protection and preservation of your vehicle while you are not using it in the meantime.

A Vehicle Storage serves as a space to safely keep your vehicles. It is similar to any self-storage facility with perks like security on the site and a manipulated temperature.

There are different types of Vehicle Storage. Weigh your options because every type has its pros and cons. The major factor to consider is if the self-storage unit is ideal for the kind of vehicle you have.  For a secure and budget-friendly unit for your vehicle, check out mi-storage.co.uk. They promise to provide a “home” for your car for as long as you store it.

The uncovered parking spaces are the most affordable. The disadvantage is since it is open, the vehicle does not have the guarantee of protection from internal and external factors (like weather changes and creepy-crawlies). You can still avail of the security features. The remedy is to purchase a vehicle cover to do the job of maintaining your vehicle’s integrity. Covered parking spaces give you the benefit of protection from external elements. You share the space with other vehicles. It does not guarantee ultimate protection like a walled space but it is a tad better than uncovered spaces if you are concerned about the unnecessary exposure to elements. Another is the shared indoor units that accommodate several vehicles with complete protection from exposure. It is the size of a warehouse and enclosed. It is more affordable when compared to renting a personal enclosed unit.

The disadvantage is it is not as convenient as having your own. Your time to access your vehicle is not flexible. There is a set time when you can get your vehicle. Lastly, we have the personal enclosed units. You do not need to share this with any other vehicle owners. Your access is flexible and according to your convenience. Protection and security are unparalleled. The climate can be manipulated. There is also a live-stream feature so that you can examine the condition of your vehicle now and then. Given these features, then expect that you would pay more.

If you are worried that your vehicle might not fit, for example, you want to house a boat or vehicles bigger than your average cars, there are also self-storage units that can accommodate such vehicles.

Vehicle storage will cost you a minimum of 45 dollars up to 450 dollars monthly. The rate depends on the type and size of the self-storage facility you avail. 45 dollars won’t be enough if you are aiming for a climate-controlled unit.

To prepare your vehicle for storage, you need to take certain steps to ensure the preservation of the integrity of the vehicle so that when the time comes that you might need it again, you will not encounter major issues.

First, perform maintenance such as oil change, checking tire pressure, and other fundamentals. Inform the person performing the upkeep that you are planning to store the car through a self-storage facility and for how long.

Second, make sure your car undergoes cleaning before storage. Clear the vehicle from everything.

Third, avail of a float charger that will preserve battery life while housed in a self-storage unit. It supplies the needed charge for the battery so it never goes empty.

Lastly, if you choose enclosed storage, slightly crack your windows to allow the flow of air and prevent your vehicle from being stuffy.
