Three super ingredients for youthful-looking skin that you need to know about

  • Written by: Tess Sanders Lazarus

Google is full of brands and potions that promise to wind back the clock, delivering youthful glowing plump skin, but according to Glenn Cross, many of these products are not worth the time of day.

Glenn Cross is the Chairman of EZZ Life, a leading Australian genomic life science company that combines research and technology to produce highly quality products aimed at improving health and wellbeing. EZZ Life boasts an impressive range of products designed to help people achieve optimal outcomes.

“Achieving healthy glowing skin involves nurturing your skin from the outside as well as from the inside,” Cross said.

“Yes, you need to drink plenty of water, avoid the sun and other harsh elements, maintain a healthy diet and exercise schedule and continue to undertake a daily skin care regime, but there are also three super ingredients that you should be including in your ritual too.

“These super ingredients will boost skin elasticity and firmness, helping you to achieve healthy, youthful looking radiant skin.

“By themselves, they are amazing nutrient boosters, but when combined, they become a super blend for women’s beauty.”

Cross has outlined which super ingredients are essential for healthy glowing skin and why you should include them in your daily skin care regime.

Sodium hyaluronate

“Sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of the skin-replenishing ingredient hyaluronic acid. It shares the same benefits as hyaluronic acid, including its remarkable ability to help skin retain a lot of moisture. In fact, one gram of hyaluronic acid can actually hold up to six litres of water,” Cross said.

“When used on the skin, it acts as a smart ingredient, helping the skin to maintain water balance which is important for its healthy appearance.

“It has extremely beneficial properties that help to hydrate the skin due to its ability to penetrate into deeper layers of the skin, attracting and binding water assisting to retain moisture.

“Besides hydrating and moisturising properties, sodium hyaluronate also improves the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and soothes skin inflammations.

“Adding sodium hyaluronate to your regime both as a topical ingredient and also through a supplement for internal health delivers superior benefits for the skin.”

Collagen

“Collagen is often described as the building blocks of your skin because it is the main component of our skin, hair, nails and even our ligaments. When talking about collagen in skin, we all know it as particularly playing a role in skin elasticity and firmness,” Cross explained.

“The body makes collagen naturally, however starting in your mid-20s, we slowly begin to lose it and over time, we lose that skin firmness, and start to sag and get wrinkles.

“Adding supplements to your daily skin care regime that contain collagen stimulate your body to produce more collagen. When you take collagen, you’ll see improvements to your hair, skin and nails, so that’s a triple win!”

Vitamin C

“Vitamin C is found in both the epidermis (outer layer of skin) and the dermis (inner layer of skin), which is why Vitamin C is often used in skin care products,” Cross said.

“It is also a well-known antioxidant which supports the production of collagen in skin and protects the skin from damage against free radicals that can age your skin. Taking Vitamin C has the added benefit of enhancing the effectiveness of sunscreens when they are applied to your skin by decreasing cell damage.”

Three’s a charm

“The important key in all of this is to understand the potency and impact of these super ingredients when they are combined together and taken in the form of a supplement,” Cross explained.

“As a combination they deliver the perfect blend of super ingredients to optimise the impact on your skin health. In unison, they draw in and retain moisture, repair and refresh skin cells and reduce damage to skin cells and support the health and longevity of cells.

“This is one of the reasons we developed the EZZ Magic Gummy, to provide men and women with the ability to easily access these powerful super ingredients together in one easy to eat chewable supplement that you can eat while on the go.

“The EZZ Magic Gummy is innovative and delivers the perfect blend of the three super ingredients to boost skin radiance from the inside.”
