P&O Cruises Latest Ship Pacific Adventure Hits the High Notes with New Show Blanc de Blanc

Following a hugely successful season at the Sydney Opera House, the award-winning burlesque show of epic proportions Blanc de Blanc is returning Down Under to perform all year round on P&O Cruises’ latest ship Pacific Adventure.

Fresh from a season on the Las Vegas strip, the sassy spiegeltent production known for its Parisian glamour will be the headline act on the 3000-guest ship when it joins the P&O fleet next October.

The bold and lavish blend of high-flying aerial stunts and circus cabaret will feature a stellar line-up of international and Australian acts including Blanc de Blanc’s famously attractive French host, Maître d’ Monsieur Romeo.

Internationally acclaimed Australian director Scott Maidment is the brains behind Blanc de Blanc and masterminded Love Riot – the exclusive show on P&O’s flagship Pacific Explorer.

Brisbane-based Scott said taking Blanc de Blanc to P&O Cruises was a natural decision because of the cruise line’s passion for high energy production shows that challenged convention.

“Blanc de Blanc has been one of my most sought-after shows on land. It contains all the ingredients for a great evening out – big tunes, stunning tricks, plenty of skin and a few surprises,” Mr Maidment said.

“It’s strictly for adults looking to enjoy a glass of champagne or two and plenty of laughter with copious amounts of effervescent energy. We know P&O guests enjoy shows that break the mould and I can’t wait to bring this show to the ship.”

P&O Cruises Head of Entertainment Brett Annable said the surprising and sophisticated show would be a “must-see” spectacle and a stand-out feature at Pacific Adventure’s glamorous cabaret venue Black Circus.

“Pacific Adventure’s arrival provides us with another opportunity to keep shaking up traditional cruise ship entertainment and put the ‘wow’ into the world of onboard production shows,” Mr Annable said.

“Blanc de Blanc is a world-class show typically found at a top theatre or festival, and following a hugely successful stint at the Sydney Opera House, we’re proud to be giving Australians the chance to experience this gold-class ensemble on our latest ship.”

Bookings for Pacific Adventure’s maiden season of sailings are available now. Fares start from $1099* per person for a twin share cabin on the 10-night Discover Vanuatu cruise departing March 22, 2021.
