Computer vision software developer VisualCortex to exhibit at ASIAL 2023 with Axis Communications

Video analytics platform vendor, VisualCortex, joins Axis Communications at ASIAL's Security Exhibition & Conference 2023 to showcase its people and vehicle computer vision solutions

SYDNEY, Aug. 24, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- VisualCortex – the Video Intelligence Platform connecting computer vision's potential to real-world business outcomes – has been selected by partner Axis Communications to showcase its video analytics solutions at the Axis booth (H10) during Sydney's 2023 Security Exhibition & Conference, 30 August - 1 September.

VisualCortex is offering conference delegates and Axis clients the chance to win a complimentary computer vision Proof-of-Concept (POC). Applicants can follow the link below to suggest a people or vehicle-related use case on behalf of their company or a client organisation.

For details, and to apply for the free video analytics POC, go here:visualcortex.com/securityexpo-2023

Taking place at the Sydney International Convention & Exhibition Centre, the conference is backed by the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) and is the biggest annual surveillance technology event of its kind in the region.

"The ability for Axis customers to effectively analyse and quickly act on events occurring within physical spaces is becoming increasingly important," said Regional Director for Oceania at Axis Communications, Wai King Wong. "Technology partners like VisualCortex are helping organisations modernise their surveillance practices as well as produce value-generating analytics about the real-world – from how shoppers interact with retail spaces, the flow of traffic around public spaces or car parks, and much more."

As part of the 2023 Security & Integrate Conference, VisualCortex CEO and Co-Founder, Patrick Elliott, is participating in a panel discussion, Thursday 31st August 14:45 - 15:30. The session focuses on 'Using Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world customer challenges'.

For details about the panel discussion, and to view the conference agenda, go here:https://securityexpo.com.au/whats-on/conference/

"VisualCortex is thrilled to be showcasing its people and vehicle-centric video analytics solutions alongside strategic partner Axis Communications," said Elliott. "Axis has a broad reach throughout the Asia-Pacific and global security and surveillance markets, deep technology expertise and is held in high regard by their expansive customer base. Exhibiting at Security & Integrate Conference 2023, in partnership with Axis, gives VisualCortex an outstanding platform to demonstrate its market-leading capabilities for people counting and pedestrian analysis, Automated License Plate Recognition, vehicle counting and traffic analysis, AI-powered face-blur capabilities, and more.

"Our panel discussion – 'Using Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world customer challenges' – also provides an opportunity to address one of the persistent stumbling blocks in the computer vision software sector: Connecting video analytics capabilities to valuable business outcomes."

The session will help organisations to assess the usefulness and applicability of video analytics in five key ways:

  • Identifying real-world challenges: The scenarios in which video analytics technology can make the most significant business impact
  • Determining whether solutions are fit-for-purpose: Pinpointing uses cases that do, and do not, require sophisticated video analytics solutions
  • Defining expectations: Identifying the types of benefits and insights organisations can realistically expect to generate from the application of video analytics technology
  • Defining and ensuring Return on Investment (ROI): What are the ROI benchmarks organisations should set and chase to deliver and experience lasting value?
  • Navigating legal and ethical hurdles: Understanding the legal frameworks, industry regulations and organisational policies required to ensure right-to-privacy and the responsible analysis of data
