Scape Group launches $26M Student Accommodation Scholarship Program-PR Newswire APAC

SYDNEY, Aug. 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to Australia's health crisis and struggling education industry, student living specialist, Scape have funded an Accommodation Scholarship program valued at $26m which will be rolled out over 3 years. The first leg of this program is $6M being made available to students enrolled in courses relating to frontline health workers in semester two, 2020. This program will accommodate a great number of students with scholarship beds available in key gateway cities, alleviating some of the financial burden brought on by the current economic environment in a Covid-19 landscape. "Our vision is to support students who are studying courses in fields helping to create a better future for Australia's health.  This scholarship bed program will see dedicated student accommodation across key cities readily available to a large cohort of students studying Nursing, Health Science, Education and Research - all eligible to apply," said Anouk Darling, CEO.

The Scape Group acquired Atira Student Living in October 2019 and the long-standing Urbanest brand in May 2020 bringing its portfolio of owned and operated student buildings to 24.
